*Geostats 2008*

The University of Chile will be organizing the Eighth International Geostatistics Congress in Santiago, Chile, from December 1 to December 5, 2008.

The congress is held once every four years and is of interest to researchers and practitioners in the field of geostatistics and its applications to the geosciences.

GEOSTATS 2008 technical program will include plenary and poster session. The Congress will be centered on innovations and practical applications of geostatistics in diverse areas, including:
   * Mining 
   * Geology
   * Oil and Gas
   * Hydrology
   * Forestry
   * Environment
   * Health Science
   * Agriculture
   * Soil Sciences 

Abstract submission deadline: 26th November 2007
