---++ !GeoInformatik 2009 *Geoinformatics - Benefits for environment and society* March 31 - April 2, 2009<br/> Osnabrück, Germany CALL FOR PAPERS *AIM AND SCOPE* This event provides an opportunity for GI researchers and industry to meet and exchange the latest in GI research topics, ideas, new research areas and applications. The main theme of GEOINFORMATIK 2009 is "Benefits of GI for environment and society". Application areas include but are not limited to disaster and risk management, mobile applications, ubiquitous geo-computing, navigation and location based services. High quality submissions over a wide array of topics in GI science are welcomed. *TARGET GROUP* GEOINFORMATIK 2009 aims at gathering researchers from academia and industry to meet and discuss the achievements of past years and set the interoperability research agenda. In addition the conference aims to expose the state of the art Geoinformatics. Participants of GEOINFORMATIK 2009 will be part of an international audience of interdisciplinary researchers and industry leaders that shape the future of GI science. *ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS* GEOINFORMATIK 2009 offers an English and a German track. Abstract submissions (approx. 2 pages) are welcomed and are expected to cover established research results as well as visionary and innovative preliminary research findings, ideas, and/or results. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by three members of the program committee. Selected authors will be invited to submit a longer version to be published in the conference proceedings. Accepted contributions will be published in the ifgi Prints Series (with ISBN).
