The Map Comparison Kit includes a range of algorithms for the comparison of raster maps.
It includes established comparison methods such as kappa and percentage-of-agreement as well as more recently developed ones such as fuzzy kappa and a moving window based comparison of landscape structure.
The release of version 3.0 introduced a number of tools to investigate the significance, absolute meaning and sensitivity of the results via Monte Carlo approaches. The tools are also suitable for multi-dimensional analysis.
The software download contains the setup procedure as well as the manual in Adobe pdf-format. The website contains additional documentation such as papers, presentations and workshop materials.
The Map Comparison Kit was originally intended as an analyse tool for series of maps generated by RIKS? spatial dynamic models and Decision Support Systems: www.riks.nl/products
