Nearest neighbors methods are becoming increasingly popular for natural resources classification, mapping and estimation, with special regards to forest applications. The use of these techniques range from imputation of single tree characteristics to regional scale multi-source land attribute mapping.
The goals of the Workshop are to share and discuss methods, applications, and research findings; to generate new ideas; and to foster new partnerships and collaborations. Abstracts for oral and poster presentations are invited for the full spectrum of Nearest Neighbors (NN) and imputation techniques including, but not limited to, Most Similar Neighbor (MSN), Gradient Nearest Neighbor (GNN), and k-Nearest Neighbors (k-NN). We encourage the presentation related to the use of NN techniques with or without remotely sensed information. Abstracts for both theoretical and applied presentations in the following and other topic areas are welcome:
